28. Japanese Cafes!

Nearly every day, we’re reminded of how incredible Japan’s food culture is—from the quality of the high-end gastronomy, to the mind-blowing insanity of the fast food, it’s just non-stop hits in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Here’s another category where the Japanese have us beat: cafés. For years, different themed cafés have been popping up all over Japan (although mostly in the big cities). For the most part, you can split these cafés into two different categories: those that cater to otaku, and wacky cafés with a wider appeal. There are Maid Cafes, Animal Cafes, Anime show themed cafes, Fan based cafes (like if you're a fan of Alice in Wonderland, or other shows), Cuddling cafes, and much more. This is all apart of Japan's sub-culture.
